Why do my clothes take forever to dry?
This is a common question and the easiest way to identify a clogged dryer vent. Basically, the lack of airflow due to some type of blockage is not allowing the moisture to evaporate from your clothes. Our job is to make sure any areas that involve airflow are free of any type of debris and are functioning properly. This would include cleaning not just the exterior vent and the vent pipe in the wall but parts of the dryer as well. Here are our basic steps of service:
-
We first locate the exterior vent and remove any lint build up.
-
Then we clean out the lint trap and lint trap cavity which also contains the dryer's booster fan.
-
To access behind the dryer, we pull it out and clean under and around it, including behind the washer if accessible.
-
Using specialized tools, we then proceed to clean out the connection and vent pipe from the dryer to the exterior vent.

-
After any lint, dirt, or debris that could be obstructing the airflow is removed, we check to make sure the length and structure of the connection is sound, removing any excess or damaged areas.
-
As we put the dyer back in place we make sure all hoses are not being crushed or kinked. this includes checking the water lines to the dryer and washer if accessible.
-
Finally, we put everything is back in its proper place, leveled and balanced, and check the airflow and heat.
What's making noise in my dryer vent?
Well, that's never a good question to have to ask yourself. Here in Southwest Florida, it could be a number of things ranging from sand or shells to something a little less desired like a bird, rodent, or reptile. Anytime you have a live animal in your vent it is a good idea to call a local expert in professional wildlife removal. We run into issues with nests on a daily basis and it's always better to remove a nest with no active wildlife. You want to make sure you prevent these issues by having us install a bird & rodent guard or a side vent with a magnetized vent flap when we are out to clean your dryer vent. According to Google animal removal average cost is around $250 but can become much more expensive depending on the circumstances.

Where does my dryer vent exit?
That can be a tough question to answer. Most of the USA vents their dryer right through the wall which is very efficient for the dryer and convenient for cleaning. Where we live here in Southwest Florida, your dryer usually doesn't vent where you think and is often hidden from plane sight. The dryer vent could be venting through the soffit, on the roof, underneath the building, on the side or even just vented internally in the structure. Our job as dryer vent inspection experts is to identify where your dryer vents and make sure it is structurally sound and venting properly for your safety and dryer efficiency. This may require additional work like replacing existing material or changing the way it is currently vented. Rest assured we will identify the problem and provide for you the best solutions to any problems that we come in contact with. This could include attic, under the house or internal wall work to repair, reconnect or replace existing dryer vent duct work.
